As we approach @nycmarathon weekend, I’m looking back at marathon pics from last year when my Jamie (@nycfitfam) accomplished one of her dreams. It was so cool to follow along and watch her cross each marker and finally the finish line. Still so proud of her and wishing everyone who is running this weekend good luck. #nycmarathon #newyorkcity #tbt #throwback

I am so proud of this project, At Home with Joan, that I am working on with Amgen to raise awareness of the risk of infection when taking strong chemotherapy. I got the opportunity to travel around our country and sit down with 4 incredible women in their homes to talk about all things breast cancer – from how to cope, to finding strength, and their best advice for everyone battling cancer. I also got to meet with a prominent oncologist and the most warm and informative oncology nurse who helped answer some of the most common questions about chemotherapy. Their stories are so beautifully portrayed in these videos, I hope you’ll check them out here: https://www.neulasta.com/athomewithjoan/ (Link in Bio)

1 in 75 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in her lifetime and 25% of all ovarian cancers are hereditary. Know your family history. In some cases, ovarian cancer can first be misdiagnosed as a GI issue, so if you experience any of the symptoms such as pelvic pain, back pain, upset stomach, or prolonged bloating ask your doctor if it could be your ovaries. #ovariancancerawarenessmonth #ovarianhealth #womenshealth
