BRAIN FOOD:⠀
What do you feed your brain?⠀
Did you know we have about 60,000 thoughts a day? ⠀
To make things super simple, if more than half of those thoughts are negative, guess how you will feel? #crap⠀
Vice versa, if more than half of those thoughts are positive and optimistic, then VOILA, you will feel good.⠀ You have the power to change your thoughts, feeling and beliefs. So feed your mind healthful, nourishing “food,” and it will grow strong and uplifting. However, if you restrict it to a regular diet of mental “junk food,” your mind will become unhealthy, negative, and unproductive. ⠀

Your mind will return to you what you put into it. ⠀
Feed your mind a balanced, nourishing diet. ⠀
Study information from a variety of fields, do things that make you feel good and limit the intake of gossip, comparison and hurtful information on the news. This way you give yourself the best possible chance of success and longterm fulfilment.⠀ My 15 Step Magical Mentoring Program is launching in a month with more great insights like this.

I subscribe to Napoleon Hill's "Thought of the day" as I love reading the short, uplifting, wise messages everyday.⠀⠀
Today's one has really hit home.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
There is so much discussion about "Life after Sport" and what needs to be done or put in place to help athletes when they retire. There have also been some incredible sad stories of former pro-athletes taking their life, living with depression or just never really being fulfilled like they used to.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
This message below, I feel, plays a small but meaningful part in the importance of having or forming another goal after sport ends. This is because the best athletes in this world are the ones who have a very clear goal and are relentless in their pursuit of performance perfection. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
For myself, forming new goals after swimming was VITAL to the positive mindset I have built. ⠀⠀
It's definitely not easy, and took years to stop comparing my past with my present, but it has helped me significantly lower this feeling of "inspirational dissatisfaction" outlined below.
⠀⠀
I hope the below passage inspires you to set new goals and to continue living with meaning and joy:⠀⠀
⠀⠀
"We are happiest when we are striving to achieve a goal. When we achieve one goal, it’s a natural human tendency to set another, usually bigger, one. W. Clement Stone calls it inspirational dissatisfaction — the letdown one experiences after a goal has been achieved and before the next step toward a new one has been taken. When you begin to experience that nagging feeling, it’s time to get into action! Make sure you have a long-range plan in place so that when one short-term goal has been achieved, there is a natural progression toward the next. "⠀⠀

Heading home after a beautiful weekend away. Feeling so ready to get back into it again after really stopping these part few days.
Getting away from your standard routine and “to-do’s” does wonders for your soul, and for me, puts everything in perspective.
I know I mentioned only a few days ago (but saying it again anyway) It’s so important to take care of YOURSELF. To learn to really value your health and mental attitude and become aware of your own personal triggers so you can proactively restore your spirit.
Grinding away and pushing isn’t the way to create HOLISTIC SUCCESS. Yes it might make you wealthy, yes it might make you popular, but what’s are you sacrificing in order to achieve that? Are you sacrificing your healthy, your mental happiness, your relationships?
Know that you can create happiness, peace, love, money and freedom through taking care of yourself and filling up your own tank. If your tank is empty, what do you have to offer anyone else? When your tank is overflowing with joy, love and gratitude it creates a ripple effect to all who come in contact with you.

So grateful for the life I live, the abundant health I have, the loving relationships around me and most of all the freedom I have created within

Today, social media has really got to me and made me pretty agitated.

I see girls on instagram posting, what I would call inappropriate photos, yet somehow receive so much attention.
Kudos to those girls who have made a brand, money and fame out of positioning themselves that way.
It just makes me questions what our society perceives and honours as successful, and what message that is sending to young girls.

My hope is that those young girls don’t look at that and feel as though they have to be like that in order to be “cool, accepted, popular & fit-in”
I want for young girls to know that it’s more important to love yourself and feel supported & secure from within and that you don’t need to receive this love from external gratifications like lots of likes & followers.

It is my purpose and intention here on social media, and in all that I do, to help people see that light in themselves. To share my thoughts, struggles, wisdom & advice in order to help others grow, learn and feel support on their own journey in life.

Sending you all love & light

I'm constantly learning more & more about wellness and what foods, exercise and lifestyle choices are best for me.⠀

It's so eye-opening once you start REALLY paying attention to what ingredients go into products and carefully analysing the labels.⠀
So many products don't have to show what's ACTUALLY in the product or where it's sourced from and to me that's so wrong, because as customers we absolutely should know what we are buying and consuming.⠀

I also find some labels incredibly overwhelming and half jibberish. So it’s no wonder people get confused and disheartened as to "what is healthy.” This is why I predominantly eat a plant based diet nowadays and usually only buy packaged foods where I can read & understand what’s in it.⠀

This is why I'm so thrilled to be working with @innerorigin, alongside
@laynebeachley
@chefpeteevans
@kirkpengilly_official
@drrosswalker ⠀

@innerorigin is an online marketplace where customers can have full transparency on the items they are buying; like where is made, what’s in it, etc, giving you the confidence to make the best purchases for your health goals.⠀

I'd love to hear your thoughts and feeling on what "Truth On Label" means to you, so please share in the comments below I’ll be replying all evening.⠀

And if this sounds like something your interested in, click the link in my BIO to check out their amazing range of good quality, healthy products.⠀

“If you can’t manage your own mental attitude, what makes you think you can manage others?⠀

Before you can ever have any hope of coaching others effectively, you must first learn to set an example for others to follow. It is simply impossible for you to inspire others to high levels of achievement if you cannot inspire yourself to do the same.⠀
The first move is yours. You must first prove yourself worthy.” – Napoleon Hill⠀

This is what I have been working on for the past 3-4 years.⠀
Discovering my own strengths and weaknesses as a person, not as an athlete, then working to improve certain parts of myself to become the person I truly want to be.⠀⠀

Now, I am able to send tall, confident and self-assured, after doing the work on myself, knowing that I now have the ability to help others become the very best version of themselves too.⠀ BE – DO – HAVE

Tony Robbins says, “You can't coach someone on something you haven’t experienced and you can’t take someone somewhere you have ever been.”⠀

Work on yourself first, and the rest will fall into place.
Seek out a mentor, program or coach to help you, or find books that will inspire you continually move forward.

It’s an honour to be apart of this powerful campaign in supporting @cricketaustralia and the Australian Women’s Cricket Team ahead of the Ashes.

Australian women are incredible!
We’ve all had to beat something in our lives and breakthrough limitations, both personal and professional.

For me, I was fortunate enough to make my dreams come true and beat the world record line. So now I’m getting behind the @southernstars to #BeatEngland in the Women’s Ashes series 🏏
