I, along with the rest of the world, was devastated to hear about the horrible and horrendous acts of terror that took place in #LasVegas earlier this week. My studio quickly banded together with some leaders in the Las Vegas community to create powerful visual messages of unity. I’m proud that my team and I could help to contribute something that can give us all a message of hope in this dark time. – Shepard

In the wake of the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, Red Rock Resorts Foundation and @studionumberone collaborated to create a number of graphics that capture the strength, unity and resilience of the Las Vegas community. The iconic images, memorialized on t-shirts, are available for sale at http://www.VegasStrong.co. $25 each. 100% of the profits will benefit local organizations in support of those impacted by the events on October 1. #VegasStrong

@jimmarshallphoto’s new book titled 'Jim Marshall: Peace' features the late photographer's previously unseen “peace” photographs taken between 1961 and 1968. Photographing across America, Marshall charted the life of a symbol, documenting how the peace sign went from holding a specific anti-nuclear meaning to serving as a broad, internationally recognized symbol for peace.
I was fortunate enough to write the foreword for this book, sharing my admiration for Jim’s work and the power of the peace sign in my own creative practice. A lot of people, including myself, felt defeated and hopeless by Trump’s election, but I feel his election should energize people to resist apathy, ignorance, sexism, xenophobia, and racism. An evolution of the DIY silk screened skateboards I made in the 90’s, the #NoFuture triptych boards are refined art pieces inspired by my frustration with Trump’s election and presidency and also by the #SexPistols and their song “God Save the Queen.” The spirit of skateboard culture is what drives this collaboration with @theskateroom.
