Spent the afternoon at Lake McDonald, watching fire crews trying to put out the Sprague Creek fire. So impressive..

This afternoon at the dock.. The day started very smoky, just as the days before. However in the mid afternoon a westerly wind picked up and blew most of it away. We could finally see the sky and the hills around again. So we celebrated with a swim.

I've missed this place..
Whenever I bike this route I feel like I#039;m going through the gates of a kingdom where no one lives. A place where men has no power over nature, where he is simply allowed to pass through. And in many ways, that#039;s what Glacier National Park is..
Midnight on a cliff over the ocean..
Somewhere along the Pacific Coast, on the way to Big Sur. Since the coastal road connecting SF to LA is closed in a few sections do to mudslides, we#039;ve enjoyed an unusually quiet stay here. I#039;ve actually never seen it so deserted. And it seems like the road won#039;t open for a few months so take a trip down PCH if you have the time.. There will be some detours but you#039;ll remember it even more.. Ps. Do you see the Bixby Bridge poking out?
