Just can’t forget this old lady. A few days home now in LA but still she lingers in my mind, along with many of the kind and humble people I was fortunate enough to meet in Puerto Rico. But this lady was special. She could hardly walk but didn’t take her time to get to that spot. She didn’t speak much but her face communicated everything. The entire top floor of the house she shares with her son is no longer there and their water supply was low but when I warned her that exposing this image to social media might mean blowing the cape crusaders cover and hide out she laughed and smiled right through me. I was so happy I stoped and asked our amazing guide @david.r.gonzales43 (who’s doing so much for the people of Comerío along with his amazing family) to see if she’d be photographed. Comerío still needs your help. The go fund me in my bio will get the money to the right people who really know where the money needs to get to. No politicians no red tape. I promise you. They are amazing people who love their neighbors. #comerío

Comerío PR. The damage caused by Maria is shocking. Even though it might have been covered, I hadn’t seen the damage I saw yesterday in Comerío in the press or on the TV. This little community in the central mountain area of PR is struggling. The people there were warm and friendly in spite of the life they have been forced to live in the past three weeks. There’s an organization that was set up by locals (as the government isn’t doing enough) called “Don’t Forget Comerío”. They collect food and supplies from all over the Island and get it to the people up in Comerío in the mountains that need it. People that have no way of getting help. Poor people. Now that food is getting there the organization is trying to get people lights as a way of getting through the nights. One of the cast members on my film got this little go fund me going that will get little lights to these people that are solar rechargeable. They are brilliant. Would you please spread the word if you have a second? We basically left yesterday with the agreement that money from this go fund me will go to this organization for lights and rebuilding materials and Labour. They are good people and they are local and they don’t have to go through red tape to get the funds to the people that really need. I saw it for myself yesterday.
